Bear Creek Group was chosen as a sub-contractor with Westpro, a division of Pomerleau Inc. to work in Phase 2 of the construction of the Admirals McKenzie new highway interchange construction project which consisted of earthwork, underground and electrical. The outcome of the entire project involved lowering the Trans-Canada highway and constructing ramps, and overpass and a pedestrian-cyclist bridge over the highway.
Bear Creek had crews sent to Victoria to start phase 2. On-site roadway excavation and off-site disposal took place, as well as urban drilling/blasting and supply/placement of granular materials, mechanically stabilized earth and lock block walls.
